Kusenaoshi

A porcelain or ceramic stand designed to preserve the curved shape of the bamboo whisk tines.

After rinsing a chasen with warm water, placing it over a Kusenaoshi allows the bamboo to dry under controlled curvature, tripling its functional lifespan and preventing the fine tines from flattening.
